MAYAËLO Chanson/World fusion
Souvent classé dans chanson/world music, Mayaëlo réunit trois musiciens venus d’horizons différents, qui aiment combiner la beauté mystique des traditions ancestrales andines et africaines avec l’innovation de la création actuelle.
Artistes d’aujourd’hui, ils interrogent notre époque à travers leurs compositions, et recherchent l’équilibre en brassant de multiples influences. C’est dans cet élan que le balafon chromatique se mêle aux flûtes de pan, et que les cordes amérindiennes invitent la basse et le Hang à vibrer dans un même univers.
Les textes des chansons appellent à des prises de conscience et portent les messages auxquels ils croient, tandis que les voix se déploient pour partager émotions et complicité.
Ils ont choisi de s’appeler Mayaëlo (« mayélo »), qui signifie « tous unis dans le partage » dans un dialecte de Gambie.
Un nom chargé d’une promesse à accomplir...

Often classified as world song music, Mayaelo brings together three musicians coming from different backgrounds, who like to combine the mystical beauty of the Andean and African ancestral traditions with the innovation of the current creation.
Artists of today, they ask our time through their compositions and are looking for balance stirring from multiple influences. This is in this spirit that the chromatic balafon mingles with the panpipes, and the Amerindian strings invite the bass and the Hang to vibrate in the same universe.
The lyrics call for a take of consciousness and carry messages in which they believe, while the voices unfold to share emotions and complicity. They chose to call themselves Mayaelo ('mayélo'), which means 'all United in sharing' in a Gambian dialect.
A name charged with a promise to accomplish...
